natural consequences

For those of you who do not know, we have a rather steep hill in our backyard. Well, lets be honest, the hill actually is our backyard. So Eli loves the climb this hill. Typically he will walk down nicely while I am coaching him, saying "Be careful, go slow." But on this day, he must have had too much sugar coursing through his veins which made him a little more adventurous than usual. He climbed the hill as he normally does however, he did not head my warning to go slow as he began his decline. It started as a quick walk, then proceeded to quickly turn into a fast run and just as his legs could go as fast as gravity was taking him, I managed to get this shot.

After I shot the picture, I watched helplessly while Eli rolled head over feet down the hill. He didn't cry, bit it did scare him. And wouldn't you know it, he has not run down that hill since that day. He walks slowly every time. You can't beat natural consequences. :)
