bowling

On Friday, one of Eli's dreams came true.....he went bowling. Our MOMS Club had an activity there and to say this was Eli's dream is an extreme understatement. In his love for all kinds of sports, he acts out many of them. Bowling is no exception. He has bowling pins that he bowls with, loves to do Wii bowling, loves to watch bowling on television and he even pretends to bowl with nothing, but his imagination.

When we got there, he was so excited, he just started picking up random balls no matter what the weight! I hadn't even gotten his bowling shoes yet and he had already dropped 2 balls because they were too heavy. This kid was determined and excited and I was so happy to be able to give him this opportunity for fun!

He picked up his 5 pound ball with ease. Of course both hands were needed with assistance from his body to hold it up, but that skinny little dude did well holding it.
After each bowl, he would jump in the air like he just won all of the toys in the world! I have so many pictures of his excited jumps in the air, but he was so fast, they came out blurry. It was so heart warming to see the joy he had over bowling. We ended up playing 4 games total, 3 more than the rest of the kids. The rest of the kids were eating lunch while Eli was still playing. He wanted nothing to do with anything that would take him away from bowling.

When it was time to go home, it would be an understatement to say that he just didn't want to go. The crazy tantrum that was thrown was the worst yet, in his life, ever. But boy did he have fun!
